Faqtastic allows you to add unlimited Frequently Asked Questions sections throughout your Shopify store. FAQs can be attached to products, pages, or collections. Each page, product, or collection can have its own FAQ.
Faqtastic requires that you have a theme which is compatible with Online Store 2.0, which is an updated theme architecture introduced by Shopify in July 2021. Thus, if your store is running an older theme it will not be possible to integrate Faqtastic into your store. If this is the case, you'll see a warning message when you open the app in the Shopify admin under Apps -> Faqtastic.
Initial setup of the app involves using Shopify's theme customizer tool to add a FAQ section within one or more of your templates. To do this, go to Online Store -> Themes, then click the Customize button next to the theme where you want to install the FAQ section.
In the theme customizer, use the dropdown menu at the top of the page to choose the type of template where you want to add a FAQ section - either a page, product, blog, article, or collection.
In the left column, choose the option to Add section, scroll to the bottom of the list, and choose the Faqtastic FAQ section type. Once added, you can optionally reorder it relative to the other sections in the template by dragging and dropping.
Clicking on the FAQ section you just added will reveal a panel with some formatting options that control how the FAQ appears on the site. When you change these options, the view on the right will be updated accordingly, so you can play with the settings and find out which ones work best for your particular use case.
With the above setup completed, you can now edit the FAQ questions and answers by navigating to the page, product, blog, article, or collection where you want the FAQ to appear and selecting More actions -> Edit FAQ items with Faqtastic.
